Eric Meyer - Senior Pastor

Celebrating his twenty-second year in ministry, Eric Meyer serves as senior pastor of Tampa Covenant Church. Eric was ordained to the ministry by Bowling Green Covenant Church in 1984 and was, along with his wife Arden, a founding member of Tampa Covenant Church, which began meeting in the summer of 1985. He holds the bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a major in organizational development and is currently pursuing the Master of Divinity degree at Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando.
Eric was a founding member and school board president for Berean Academy, a local Classical Christian school, and has served as a board member of the Christian Business Association in Tampa. He currently sits on the board of Intervarsity Christian Fellowship, an outreach to college campuses in the Tampa Bay area. He is also on the board of the Conservatory for the Arts at Tampa Bay.
In addition to his love for reading, Eric enjoys backpacking in the mountains, playing basketball, and laughing. His "hero" is Charles Spurgeon, a minister who combined Reformed Theology with a love for people and a zeal to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Eric and Arden have been married for twenty-four years and have three children: Ross, 19, a college student, Emily, 16, who is a junior at Berean Academy, and Shan Tian, 5, the newest and wildest member of our family direct from China.
