Beth Moore Bible Study

Chick Theology
The women's book study group is currently studying "Battling Unbelief: Defeating Sin with Superior Pleasure" by John Piper. The study guide is $6.00. 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month with two meeting times to choose from, 9:00 am (includes a Bible study for preschoolers) or 7:00 pm. They meet here at the church. So how do we make time for this study with our busy lives? Don't we all just struggle to find time to read and study our Bibles, much less find time to study theologically minded books? Yes, we all do but all the more reason to make what we read and study matter! You may think, "Why should women study theology?" We are all theologians and have great influence with our children, families, friends, etc., the only question is are we good ones. Anytime we ask why about God or His word, we are doing theology. Life can be hard and trials will come and when they do, our "life and beliefs collide." We want to be able to stand and glorify God because we know Him for who He is! Scrapbook Workshop
Where are your photos? Are your photos in shoeboxes bulging with neglected memories? Cathi Diaz, a consultant with Creative Memories, will show you how easy it is to turn years of precious photos and memorabilia into safe, keepsake scrapbook albums. Scrap booking is a wonderful way to preserve your history and to give testimony of God's faithfulness in your life. Creative Memories workshops are about teaching simple techniques for creating beautiful scrapbook pages that will last for generations. Working on your album side by side with other ladies in our church is a fun way to get to know one another more intimately. We meet at the church from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon on the last Saturday of each month. Workshops are no charge except for the cost of materials, which can be as low as $2.50 per workshop.
Clipping Coupons for Cost Conscience Christians
Are you a coupon clipper? Remember when Jesus fed the 5,000? He told His disciples "gather up now the fragments, so that nothing may be lost and wasted." (John 6:12) Let us gather our unwanted coupons and bring them to the Ladies' table to share with our sisters. On the table will be an accordion for storing valid coupons. Please place your coupons in the basket and pick up ones that you will use. Items will be organized according to product name, not type of food. (i.e. cake will be filled under C for cake not B for baking goods.) See Laura Rojas for more information.
